Pablo’s Café Grill is not the classic story about an immigrant that came to America with $200 in his pocket and is now rich. LOL!!!!

The real story is that I came to visit and fell in love with Chicago. I worked for the very best Mexican eateries in the city for nearly a decade. Combining this experience in the business with my own good taste in both food and in life I decided that I wanted to open my own restaurant. I chose to do this in a place that I love the most; Sawyer, Michigan.

Pablo’s Café Grill was inspired by my childhood visits to my grandather’s (abuelo’s) ranch where he grew a variety of fruits: mangos, guavas, oranges, limes, lemons, papayas, pomegranets, coconuts and sugarcane. As the thirteenth of fourteen children I would run and play all day long in the orchards with my brothers and sisters as our family gathered trays and trays of these fresh delights.

Each evening the table would overflow with the colors and the aromas of our harvest and it is this freshness and flavor that inspired me to bring the same to the tables of Pablo’s Café Grill.

Each and every day I look forward to providing you with a warm and casual dining experience centered around authentic Mexican food and drink prepared with the freshest of ingredients. Our margaritas and mojitos are truly the best in the region. Buen Provecho!
